U.S. Navy, Civil Engineer Corps, 1971-1992: Assignments with Navy Seabees all over the world, ending career as Officer in Charge of Construction, Southwest Pacific, Manila, Philippines—responsible for engineering & construction from Philippines to Singapore, Australia, Indian Ocean & Middle East.
Civilian employment 1992 - 2008: Corporate executive positions from Chief Engineer to Vice President including the Deputy Director and Director, DMJM-3D/I Joint Venture, Pentagon Renovation and Construction Program Office overseeing recovery of the 9-11 attack.
Numerous military awards including two Meritorious Service Medals.
Pentagon Renovation Program highest award-Boundary Marker Award for exceptional leadership.
Registered Professional Engineer &member of Tau Beta Pi,national engineering honor society.
Advice to Students
Do not be so busy making a living that you forget to make a life.
Keep a perspective on what is important in this life and in this world by taking care of the people around you–your family, friends, and coworkers – and even those you do not know who just need someone to lend a hand or lend an ear.
