Drummer and Educator
Drummer and musical director for multi-platinum vocal group, Rascal Flatts.
Since moving to Nashville in 1997, Jim has played hundreds of sold-out concerts,
for millions of fans around the world.
He has worked with such artists as Rascal Flatts, Brian McKnight, Carrie Underwood, Jessica Simpson, Kelly Clarkson.
TV credits include the Grammy Awards, The American Music Awards, Ellen, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Late Show with David Letterman, American Idol, Good Morning America, The Today Show,
Dick Clark's Rockin' New Year's Eve, The View .
In 2006, realized a life long dream of drumming on a platinum album when he played on
Rascal Flatts' "Me and My Gang" release (5X platinum).
Jim's rise to success was chronicled in Modern Drummer Magazine (September 2006).
Since that time, he has become a contributing writer for the magazine.
His passion for inspiring the next generation of drummers keeps him in demand as one of the
premiere educators in his field. He is also a published composer, whose works have been played worldwide.
Advice to Students
verything you do (and don't do) here at Natick High is helping to shape your future.
So, be focused on your goals. Don't let anyone tell you that you can't do it. You can.
If you believe in yourself, and you're willing to put in the hard work,
you will be amazed at what you will be able to accomplish.
