Mark was a highly accomplished singer, actor and pianist when he died at the
age of 28. As a pianist he played in numerous off-Broadway shows in New York, He was an improvisational pianist and the accompanist for numerous singers. As an actor he appeared on television in the soap operas, The Edge of Night and Search for Tomorrow. . He performed in a variety of stage productions in New York (Pippin, Gemini, Cloud Nine,The Great American Backstage Musical to name a few), as well as several seasons of summer stock theater in New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Pennsylvania. He sang in a tribute to composer Marc Blitztein, in a performance conducted by Leonard Bernstein at Lincoln Center, and he starred in the television movie Bella. . Mark was musical director for the production Let My People Go which was performed in South Africa, New York, Philadelphia, Toronto and Houston.
Mark did what he loved, and loved and succeeded in what he did.
