Bio

Extensive community involvement includes:
Charlton Parent Teacher Association - Member, Treasurer, and fundraiser
Charlton Public Library – Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Charitable Trust Fund Trustee and Secretary,, Building/Design Committee Member, Secretary and Trustee Lisison, Fundraising Committee Treasurer, and she is the driving force behind the library’s $6.8 million building project to renovate and expand the library.
She is the sole recipient of Yankee Magazine’s 2003 Barn Raiser of the Year Award in recognition of outstanding service to the community.

Advice to Students

Your lives can be rich even if you are not wealthy.  A job well done is its own reward . . . not all rewards are financial.  There is dignity, and even nobility in staying the course and keeping your word.  Finishing what one has begun and doing it well is deeply satisfying.  Earn enough money for what you need and for most of what you want, but not so much that its pursuit destroys the better part of you.
Honor your commitments.  Write a second draft. Read. Vote.
