Tod Lipka has dedicated his professional life in service to others.
President and CEO of Step Up on Second in Santa Monica, CA.
Under Mr. Lipka’s guidance, Step Up has been nationally recognized for exemplary leadership in solving homelessness among those who have lived on the streets of Los Angeles, especially the most chronically homeless people, those with a mental illness. He integrates evidenced-based practices along with innovative partnerships that have led to housing for thousands of individuals, many of whom were homeless for decades. Using a combination of street-based teams, mental health services and housing developments built across Los Angeles, Mr. Lipka’s work at Step Up has literally ended nearly eight centuries of cumulative homelessness. Mr. Lipka’s work has solicited endorsements from a wide ranging group of luminaries including
former President Clinton, Kobe Bryant, Aileen Getty, Steve Bing
and Rick Fedrizzi of the US Green Building Council.
